Option 1: Private / Self-referral

You do not need a referral from your GP to see us. Patients can self-refer to see our Diabetes Educators at any time. During your consultation, our Diabetes Educators will cover the key concepts surrounding optimal diabetes management such as:

  • Understanding Diabetes and its Management:

    • We provide in-depth education on diabetes, its causes, symptoms, and complications.

    • Our team helps individuals understand the importance of lifestyle modifications, including diet, exercise, and medication adherence, in managing Diabetes effectively.

  • Blood Glucose Monitoring:

    • We guide individuals on when and how to test their blood glucose levels using blood glucose monitors.

    • Our experts offer personalized advice on interpreting blood glucose readings and adjusting treatment plans accordingly.

  • Sick Day Management:

    • We educate individuals on managing diabetes during illness or periods of sickness.

    • Our team provides guidance on adjusting medication dosages, staying hydrated, monitoring blood glucose levels closely, and seeking medical attention when necessary during sick days.

  • Managing Low and High Blood Glucose:

    • We offer practical strategies for managing low blood glucose (hypoglycemia) episodes, including consuming fast-acting carbohydrates and monitoring blood glucose levels regularly.
